The food here was ok and the buffet was reasonably priced, but please avoid this place. There was extremely insensitive and racist posters on the wall. It's a small Texas town so I'm not going to demonize the people for not being open to how these things might affect some people, but is still unacceptable. It's not just the Confederate flag but very racist posters. I have added a picture of one of these. I hope the restaurant will see this and take it down and choose to have some empathy/take the time to put themselves in others shoes.
First visit. There's a section of the menu dedicated to small portions at a reduced price. First of all, the word "small" is a relative term with this restaurant! The portion was more than enough. In fact my wife couldn't finish all of hers. If you are really hungry, go for the buffet. If you enjoy good Hometown cooking, this is the place to be. You can expect well-seasoned food and friendly staff. By the way, if you don't try one of their pies for dessert, you're missing out! Highly recommend.

I love Sam's!! Great food no matter whether it's the buffet or off the menu. Everyone here is friendly and here to make you feel right at home. The desserts are absolutely delicious, all prices are very reasonable. Great gift shop too.
