Miss Kitty is the owner and she is the nicest most reasonable & honest person. Crystal is another lady in the office and between both of them they made our stay at Shady Oaks the very best. Our house flooded back in June and we stayed a month in the cabins. The cabins are very clean and very well-kept. We went back in our RV and the spot they gave us was amazing. The scenery is beautiful and the Little Pond was fun to fishing. If you're looking for a little getaway or just need a place to go for a night or a month or anything this is the best place to go in Freestone County. I would recommend this place to anyone.

First off let me start off by saying the staff here is amazing Teresa went above and beyond to help us with out with our stay. We called in with intentions of staying in our camper there for a month, due to husband working in that area. My camper had to have some repairs from our trip there. I was already stressed from the situation! She helped us turn a stressful situation into a pieceful cabin stay! Was only a couple weeks later that I met kitty, very nice lady also!
Loud crowd with very loud music keeping people awake. When a camper complains, the person is singled out in front of the crowd by Ms. Kitty, the manager...she confronted the noisy campers but called out the ones who complained and said" the camper in lot # ??? has complained about ur music" the campers who complained ended up with the people beating on their camper door & confronted about why they complained & if they were offended by their music... Very, very unprofessional & unsafe way of handling a noise complaint. This could have been handle much differently. The campers who complained ended up having to leave the park for fear of their safety.
There are not to many places you go into anymore where people take the time out of the day to read there bible, this really made me feel at home here! Kentucky didn't seem so far away! Thank you Teresa for a wonderful stay!!!
Quiet,,nice and helpful management.Awesome cabins and RV parking w/concrete slabs.Easy and close access to freeways.Laundry room on site.Hook ups for water and septic tanks.Has fishing pond. Reasonabily priced.cable, internet​ and electric included.
